Overview:

Techno-economic and sustainability analysis capabilities are critical for the assessment of commercial applicability and relevance of catalyst development research. These types of analyses help translate research gains into potential economic and commercial advances, upon the deployment of catalysts in scaled up processes. Evaluating the production costs of a given process technology, based on current performance and targets established for process improvements though research efforts, allows the analysis team and researchers to assess the potential economic feasibility of a process configuration. Results of these analyses are useful in determining the potential for near-, mid-, and long-term deployment success.
